More doors from Whitby although this week I am featuring alleyways as there are a lot of them there. Snicket is another word for alleyway, it is a word used in Yorkshire where I used to live but not in Tyne & Wear where I live now.

I like the word Snicket. These are very cool photos. I also like “Duck or Grouse” – I’m assuming it refers to the height, and not a choice between birds.
I assumed the same about the birds. Around here the word cut is used instead of snicket, I prefer snicket.
I, too, like the word Snicket. Alleyways are so interesting to photograph and yours are lovely!
