Mainly gates this week but there are a couple of very large doors if you look closely. These photos were all taken at Beamish Museum. Beamish Museum is a living, open air museum telling the story of everyday life in the North East of England through time. 1820’s, 1900,s 1940’s and 1950’s. Some more of the 1950’s town will be opening this month.

The farm behind the gates will opening soon too. The original farm was in Weardale and the bricks were moved stone by stone and rebuilt here.

oh and that sing Stop Cock 3ft 0ins – – I am assuming that “ins” used to be for inches – and was before we had standardized notations eh?
