The starting point for this collage was a drawing in an A3 sketchbook.
Which was painted with watercolours and highlighted with a white pen.
Inspired by a lapwing
A friend thought I could do something with an old Somerset Studio art journal calendar dated 2003 so I have decided to alter it. I’m leaving one side of each page as it is, art works and am altering the calendar part of the book. On this collage I have used music, stamped textured wallpaper, punched paper from old music machine, vintage negative film with stitching in knitting ribbon and real flowers under plastic held on with tape.
Inspired by the inside of an envelope, which the collaged numbers were cut from. I also used inktense pencils and a white posca pen.
The butterflies image is from the Naturalist Library book collaged onto a vintage postcard. The background is a texture from one of my paintings.
