A Walk in the Woods

We’ve been dog minding this week and today we took Molly for a walk through the woods. I liked the way the sunlight was shining between the trees.

These were drawn for a Spoonflower fabric contest called Beards and Mustaches [or moustaches where I come from]. I used my son’s dog as a model, she’s a long haired bearded collie. These are the fabrics I came up with.

Tension

Illustration Friday challenge – tension. I got the idea from taking Molly for a walk[?], so there are two types of tension here – the dog pulling on the lead and the mental tension from it. She is cute though, see below.

I used my new Letraset Aquamarkers for this [an alternative to watercolours]. I think I need a bit more practice with them and probably need to spend more time on a painting than I did here.

All three sketches were created on my Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 with Sketchbook Pro and the mirror tool.
